Turning ordinary photographs into true works of art

My paintings are made to bring emotion into the lives of others by making lasting pieces of art. Whether a loved one, treasured pet, a favorite place, or a special life event, I hope my work brings back the same emotions that made the original subject so significant.

My Process

My process is all about trust. I give my clients a clear idea of what to expect before I start placing paint to canvas, and I go to any effort within my capability to make sure that my clients are satisfied with the final piece.

1 - Consultation

I start with a consultation to talk about what you’re looking for and discuss timeline and budget. Bring your favorite photos that you’d like to me work with as visual references for your project.

2 - Reference Material

I analyze the reference material and suggest creative alterations for the painting. If you don’t have a photo, a photoshoot may be necessary. I can arrange a photoshoot myself in the Washington State area or advise on how to create a good reference photo.

3 - Digital Mockup

With a solid reference base, I create a digital mockup of how I envision the final product will look. We can discuss any changes to the subject matter, cropping, background, and dimensions of the final piece.

4 - Final Painting

With approval of the digital mockup and a down payment, I start the final painting. Final pieces can typically take from 2 weeks to a month depending on the complexity of the project.
